The Challenge
The challenge was to redesign an annual report for a selected corporate brand, translating complex information into a clear and engaging visual system. The objective was to create a report that feels transparent, approachable, and aligned with the company’s values, while maintaining strong hierarchy and structure.
The Approach
The annual report redesign for Burt’s Bees draws from the brand’s focus on natural ingredients and ethical sourcing. A minimal, nature-driven palette, approachable typography, and organic forms establish a clear and cohesive system.
Data visualization is rooted in the product itself, using ingredients like honey, shea butter, and botanical oils to create fluid, cosmetic-inspired graphics, while chapsticks represent packaging data. This approach integrates brand narrative with information design, making the content both functional and visually distinctive.
The system was extended through a fully interactive digital prototype in Figma, creating a cohesive experience across print and digital platforms.
The Result
The final publication transforms complex information into a clear, cohesive system rooted in Burt’s Bees’ brand values. Ingredient-based visuals and a restrained aesthetic create an engaging report that reinforces the brand while enhancing readability and understanding.
